Managua

In the morning we cycled out of Xiloa with a little trepidation as we passed the road leading to the base and every time a truck full of troopers passed by us. Ate at a comidor for cheap at the nearest town and then headed on to Managua.
Once in Managua, w went way out of our way heading to a Specialized dealer in the hopes that they would also carry quality off brands and have Erin's tires as hers are wearing out. They had nothing and directed us back down the hill to the outdoor mercado which also had nothing. We went to an expensive hotel and asked for directions to a slightly less expensive hotel, settling on one for 40 a night, air conditioning, and closer to the airport so meeting Kacie would be cheaper and easier by taxi.
Kacie arrived at 9pm, and we returned by taxi, discussed plans to head for Ometepe after Masaya and Granada, and went to bed in our very nice dos cama room with air-con.
In the morning we discovered our sweet room had no windows. What!  Hard to get going without light in the morning. We negotiated with the staff to keep our bikes at the hotel so we could travel by bus with Kacie and scheduled a night for the night Pete arrives at the airport at the same sort of time in the night, figuring he'll probably also want an air conditioned first night to acclimitize to the heat. We stayed at hotel Bello Horizonte.
In the morning we took a taxi to the Roberto Hermanes mercado where we would be catching a bus to Masaya. There, we ate at a comidor but they had to finish cooking chicken for us and charged quite a lot, 4 dollars per person including a drink. Now Rigel has to eat leftovers for two tiny Wells girls!
We hopped on a bus and paid 0.50 or 12 cordoba to go what would've taken us 4 hours to rid, in an hour and went to Masaya!
